AHSC’s Oncology Program offers province-wide consultation and treatment for all cancers with radiation and/or chemotherapy. The program provides services at the Saint John Regional Hospital and Charlotte County Outreach. An expert team of Oncologists, qualified physicists, radiation therapists, nursing staff and physicians from other clinical specialties work closely together to provide multi-disciplinary care. State-of-the-art equipment and active involvement in national and international clinical trials ensures that patients receive the most progressive treatment available. Research affiliations include National Cancer Institute of Canada (NCIC), Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), and industry trials.

The Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation, through the Department of Oncology, is a member of the Canadian Association of Provincial Cancer Agencies (CAPCA). The Oncology Department is affiliated with the department of Radiation Oncology at Dalhousie University and is a training site for the Dalhousie University Radiation Oncology Residency training program at the university. The Oncology Program also oversees the Saint John Regional Hospital Radiation Therapy Training School.
