Community-Based Speech-Language Pathology Services for PreschoolersThe "Talk With Me" Early Language services is a community-based program focusing on promoting healthy communication skills and preventing communication delays in all children from birth to age 5. The program is designed to support families and caregivers in preparing their children to learn. Speech-Language Pathologists and Rehabilitation Assistants working in this setting have the unique opportunity to work closely with children, parents/caregivers, daycare workers, Early Interventionists, Public Health Nurses, and other community partners involved with the preschool population. The Early Language Services operates through an open-referral system, accepting referrals for Speech-Language Pathology service from anyone involved in the care of the child.
