Philosophy

  • We believe in the provision of tertiary cardiology and cardiac surgery services to all adults on a provincial referral basis. We believe that patient access to the program is determined on the basis of clinical acuity as assessed by the access coordinator in conjunction with a cardiologist / cardiac surgeon at the NB Heart Centre.

  • We believe in a skilled compassionate multidisciplinary health care team approach to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

  • We believe in the need for lifelong patient and family education extending beyond the hospital admission.
