The Extra-Mural Program (known by many as New Brunswick's "hospital without walls") is a home-care program established within the New Brunswick hospital system. It is, however, independent of all other hospitals in the province. The Extra-Mural Program provides services in people's homes, as well as in other locations outside the formal institutional setting of a hospital, through 16 service delivery units located throughout the province.
