How do I access Extra-Mural services? Usually you contact your physician for referral to Extra-Mural Program except when you need rehab services. Rehab Services include – physiotherapy, speech language pathology, and occupational therapy. Your or another person can make this referral. Will an Extra-Mural professional provide transportation to medical appointments? Extra-Mural Program staff may not personally transport you, however we may arrange suitable transportation on a case by case basis - for example, ambulance, air transit, etc. How much will Extra-Mural care cost? We will try to initiate services as soon as possible. However, treatment may be delayed due to wait lists. How long is a visit from an Extra-Mural Program professional? In the event that you do not have a health plan Extra-Mural Program can assist you, on a case by case basis, in two ways: Prescription Drug Program Advocacy for other funding sources (i.e., Human Resources Development – Health Card)
