The Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation states that for community and home care a plan of care should be developed for every client receiving service. A variety of methods exist for the process of planning care for client services.

The most recent accreditation was completed in May 2002. The results were overwhelmingly positive for Extra-Mural.
