Flags to fly at half-mast

Dora Nicinski, President and CEO of Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation announced today that to honour the soldiers from Base Gagetown who were killed in Afghanistan, the flags on the flag poles at Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation buildings in Health Region 2 will fly at half mast on April 19, the day of the Private David Greenslade’s funeral.

“We appreciate the questions we have had from concerned citizens and I want to assure the public that we are following provincial protocol in this matter,” she explained. “The hospitals are provincial buildings and so we take direction from the provincial Chief of Protocol who has stated that flags on provincial sites and facilities in the community of deceased soldiers will fly at half mast on the day of the funeral

Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation extends deepest sympathy to the family of Private Greenslade and to all the families who have lost loved ones in the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.
