Radiological Technology is the application of x-rays for diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. With the use of computers, digital images are being produced for all types of x-ray examinations to study anatomical structures and function of body systems. The radiological technologist assesses the patient's condition, positions the patient to best visualize body structures and demonstration of pathology, operates x-ray / computer equipment and evaluates the diagnostic quality of the image.

The Saint John School of Radiological Technology provides the Radiological Technology discipline-specific portion of the Bachelor of Health Sciences in Radiography offered at University of New Brunswick - Saint John (UNBSJ).

The first year of the BHS(Radiography) is a first year Bachelor of Science at UNBSJ or UNB Fredericton. In January of the first year BSc, the student can apply to the School of Radiological Technology through the Health Science Advisor’s office at UNBSJ. The second year of the program is delivered on-site at the Saint John Regional Hospital (SJRH), as is one semester of each of the third and fourth years. The other semester of the third and fourth years are at UNBSJ where courses are taken in:

This four-year program is fully integrated between the School of Radiological Technology at the Saint John Regional Hospital and the University of New Brunswick-Saint John Campus.
