Education: preparing tomorrow's health care professionals

The Corporation offers a dynamic learning experience for undergraduate medical students and several allied health professionals. Training programs include Radiological Technology, Radiotherapy, Respiratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Nuclear Medicine Technology. The Saint John Regional Hospital participates in a new Bachelor of Health Sciences program offered by University of New Brunswick-Saint John. Third- and fourth-year students receive clinical and classroom instruction in one of three concentrations: Nuclear Medicine, Radiography and Radiation Therapy.

The University of New Brunswick, Saint John campus lies adjacent to the Saint John Regional Hospital. Both institutions are actively pursuing the establishment of new research and educational links to improve the quality of training and education available to students, to contribute to the body of medical and health-related knowledge, and, ultimately, to improve the quality of health care delivery in New Brunswick and elsewhere.
