Atlantic Health Sciences Corporation (AHSC), a designated campus of the Dalhousie University Medical Education Program and affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland, invites applications for 2 Gastroenterology positions. AHSC is the largest multi-facility regional health authority in New Brunswick and serves a population of 200,000 in the southern part of the province. The division of Gastroenterology currently consists of 3 full-time Gastroenterologists in solo practices participating in a collegial call group. Facilities include an endoscopy suite with the full range of endoscopic equipment except laser, capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound. The division has participated in many clinical trials and there are ongoing clinical trial opportunities. A subspecialty interest such as hepatology, nutrition or endoscopic ultrasound would be an asset but is not required. Saint John is situated on the picturesque Bay of Fundy and is located on one of the finest inland waterways in North America. Saint John offers numerous social and cultural facilities as well as recreational opportunities. As New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province, there is access to both English and French school systems. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick and hold specialty certification in Gastroenterology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent certification. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment and will be required to participate in the Department of Medicine teaching program. Please send inquiries and CV to:
