SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
TEMPORARY FULL TIME POSITION
CHARLOTTE COUNTY
Provides Speech Language Pathology services within the Early Language Program, offering a variety of services within natural
environments at the community level. There is an emphasis on prevention, to enable pre-schoolers (birth-5 years) to have
communication skills to achieve kindergarten readiness. Ability to: provide comprehensive assessment, consultative, education
and/or treatment services for individuals with communicative disorders, feeding/swallowing disorders and/or cognitive/communication
disorders.
Essential Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized school or university offering specialized training.
- Postgraduate work experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology is desirable.
- Good previous work and attendance record.
- Registration with New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. (NBASLPA)
- Certification or eligibility for certification with Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. (CASLPA)
- Yearly CPR re-certification is required except in extenuating circumstances.
- High regard for confidentiality
- Written and spoken competence in English is required
- LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Approximately one year
