SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
TEMPORARY FULL TIME POSITION
CHARLOTTE COUNTY

Provides Speech Language Pathology services within the Early Language Program, offering a variety of services within natural environments at the community level. There is an emphasis on prevention, to enable pre-schoolers (birth-5 years) to have communication skills to achieve kindergarten readiness. Ability to: provide comprehensive assessment, consultative, education and/or treatment services for individuals with communicative disorders, feeding/swallowing disorders and/or cognitive/communication disorders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a recognized school or university offering specialized training.
  • Postgraduate work experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology is desirable.
  • Good previous work and attendance record.
  • Registration with New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. (NBASLPA)
  • Certification or eligibility for certification with Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. (CASLPA)
  • Yearly CPR re-certification is required except in extenuating circumstances.
  • High regard for confidentiality
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required
  • LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Approximately one year
