Registered Nurses
 Surgery Program
Saint John Regional Hospital

Registered Nurses are invited to apply for full time, part time, temporary and/or casual work within our Surgery Program which includes: Intensive Care Unit, Orthopedics Unit, Burn Unit/ Short Stay and extended Day Surgery; and/or Urology and General Surgery (vascular and thoracic) at the Saint John Regional Hospital. We are seeking both bilingual and unilingual applicants.

Purpose: To participate in the planning and delivery of total nursing care to meet individual patient needs in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the nursing service and the surgical units.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse currently registered in the Province of New Brunswick
  • Current experience in the Surgery units listed above would be an asset
  • Willing to participate in critical care courses and training as offered by AHSC
  • High regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patients
  • Shows initiative and good judgment in emergency and crisis situations
  • Ability to accept responsibility
  • Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with patients, families, public, staff and physicians in order to develop positive working relationships
  • Good performance and attendance record
  • Physically and mentally able to perform assigned duties
