Bilingual (English/French) Registered Nurses
Coronary Care Unit-5AN and
Cardiac Services Nursing Unit
Saint John Regional Hospital
Registered Nurses are invited to apply for full time, part time, temporary and/or casual
work within our Coronary Care Unit or Cardiac Services Unit at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Candidates must be fluent in both English (spoken and written) and French.
French testing (spoken) will be required if certification has never been obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse registered or eligible for registration in the Province of New Brunswick.
- High regard for confidentiality and advocacy for patients.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of cardiac anatomy & physiology, cardiac rhythm strip interpretation, cardiac drugs & previous experience in critical care would be an asset.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification would be an asset. If not certified, certification will be required within the first year of employment.
- Shows initiative and good judgment in emergency and crisis situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly with patients, families, public, staff and physicians in order to develop positive working relationships.
- Good performance and attendance record.
- Physically and mentally able to perform assigned duties.
- Previous nursing experience is an asset but new graduates are welcome to apply.
