(506) 432-3100 The Sussex Health Centre is a 25 bed acute care facility serving a population of approximately 30,000. The inpatient and outpatient services include a concentrated care area, surgery, family medicine, and palliative care. A team approach to care is provided by family physicians, a surgeon, a radiologist, professional nursing, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation staff, and support personnel. Numerous visiting specialists conduct ambulatory clinics for the following services: plastic surgery, cardiology, ENT, gynaecology, paediatrics, urology, orthopedics, paediatric asthma, physiatry, rheumatology, and neurology. Recent expansions of service at the facility include a Dialysis Unit and an IV Therapy Day Hospital. The Kiwanis Nursing Home and the Health Services Complex, which houses doctors' and dentists' offices and the Extra-Mural Program, extend the continuum of care to residents of the Sussex and surrounding area.
